What sort of era are we entering into?
Let us consider a few stories that will hopefully paint some pictures that might help us answer that question.

It would seem to me that rather than choosing one we have opted for going completely insane and plunging ourselves into a darker age than any of us can fathom. I think the saddest part is that the only positive answer I hear from anyone is that science and technology will save us... why not just believe in God if you are going to go that route?
