another strange day

Today has been an exceptionally strange one, even as 21st Century American days go. A woman was beaten to death by 5 Wal-Mart employees in Southern China for allegedly shoplifting... no comment. A Bolivian preacher hijacked a plane in Mexico with the purpose of getting President Calderon on the phone so he could tell him of a dire vision he had. Yesterday NATO for the first time admitted they had killed civilians in an air strike when two oil rigs where bombed in a village, killing something like a hundred people, 45 of which were claimed to be Taliban. The level of complete and utter absurdity in Western reporting of our Imperial adventures never ceases to blow me away.
