Nationalistic Musings

I ain't so mad at uncle Sam, gone crazy again and again
other nations playin' with pistols, we use the cruise missiles
overweight and overpaid, caught up in a frantic charade
Americans aren't much more than overgrown kids
playing monopoly with the world and making our bids
swinging on a jungle gym built by madmen long ago

we know from whence it came, but where does it go?
the recess will some day end, change is around the bend
we didn't invent the game, so why we gotta take the blame?
same reason people hatin' Bonds everywhere
we play very well, just not fair
