Scientists have released various reports that all point to 2007 being one of record breaking heat. This coupled with an exponentially growing population is going to make this year rather interesting. I myself am rather excited about this prospect, seeing as how crisis always precipitates change. Here are some of the forecasts for '07:
Deepening drought in Australia.
Stronger typhoons in Asia.
Floods in Latin America.
Long story short, shit is going to go down. Say what you will about politics, all leaders are essentially in power because the majority of the population is not starving. You can read a 800 page book about the antecedents to the French Revolution- but the long and short of it is there was a bread shortage in 1789. Wonder what Americans will do when our traditional breadbasket (the Midwest) turns into a desert over the next few decades? I can't help but notice the similarity between the earths behavior and what a human body does when it gets a cold. Does that mean modern mankind is an illness and global warming is the earth's immune system?
